Jeremiah Schuur, MD MHS | Principal Investigator
Jeremiah (Jay) Schuur is the Director of Quality and Patient Safety and the Director of Performance Improvement for the Department of Emergency Medicine of the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Schuur’s current research focuses on developing, implementing and evaluating measures of quality of care and patient safety in emergency medicine.
Carlos Camargo, MD DrPH | Co-Investigator
Dr.Camargo is a Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology at Harvard Medical School, and an emergency physician at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He also founded and directs the Emergency Medicine Network (EMNet,www.emnet-usa.org), a research collaboration involving more than 200 medical centers.
Danny Pallin, MD MPH | Co-Investigator
Dr. Pallin is the Director of Research in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Peter Hou, MD | Co-Investigator
Dr. Hou is trained as an Emergency Room physcian and an Intensivist. As a co-investigator, he brings to the table expertise in ICU processes and infection prevention practices.
Deborah Yokoe, MD MPH | Co-Investigator
Dr. Yokoe is the hospital epidemiologist and Director of Infection Control at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Her research has focused on evaluating methods for efficient detection of healthcare-associated infections as well as community-acquired infections of public health importance such as tuberculosis and sexually transmitted diseases.
Corine Sinnette, MA MPH | Senior Research Assistant
Ms. Sinnette is the lead research assistant on these AHRQ funded projects. She is currently doing qualitative research with emergency departments nationwide about infection prevention practices.
Janice Espinola, MPH | Biostatistician/Epidemiologist
Ms. Espinola is the lead biostatistican/epidemiologist at the Emergency Medicine Network (EMNet). She currently has primary responsibility for data management and statistical analysis for all EMNet projects.
